As many of you know, our company announced they were making layoffs back in October. The layoffs were conducted at our paper yesterday and today, and I can report that Chris and I are still employed. This does not mean we are jumping for joy. More than 60 people lost their jobs, some who we've worked very closely with, who have children to support and spouses already out of work. We feel very grateful that we were spared, but our hearts go out to those who weren't. In the immediate future I know my job will change, as I will take on more multi-media responsibilities. But what it means for our future in the long-term in this business, I don't know. (If you're interested, there's a short story about the layoffs
here.)
